If you’ve ever wondered exactly when inspiration strikes Ed Sheeran and he comes up with another megahit, chances are it’s late late at night.
Ed opened up about his writing process to Billboard, explaining:
"The best songs come out when you’re tired. My writing seems to happen at night or actually very early morning. The songs that have the most meaning to me were written then."
But it’s not a hard rule, because he goes on to admit "Shape of You," which is out now was written at around 11am.
