Charli XCX is helping Selena Gomez get some revenge on a little ol' ex by name of Justin Bieber, if you believe a recent report by The Sun.
Earlier this week, the UK tabloid revealed that Charli XCX has penned a song called "Bad Girlfriend" for her pop star friend and it's all about how women get blamed for all the wrong things in a relationship. Even though the outlet isn't entirely credible, they went as far as reporting lyrics from the cut and the narrative of the tune is crystal clear. "I know I'm not there for you or there when you call. I'm a bad girlfriend/I'm a bad girlfriend," the 24-year-old titan reported sings.
"It's all about a boyfriend the girl is no longer really into and has finally gotten wise to. It's tongue-in-cheek and Selena and Charli knew exactly who they were writing about," a source revealed to The Sun. "It will undoubtedly be tweaked but they were really happy with how the songwriting session went and were loving slating their exes."
It'll probably be a bit until we hear new material from Gomez, or so she says. But in the meantime, we do have "It Aint Me," her collaboration with Kygo. Earlier this week, the track hit the top 10 tier of the Billboard Hot 100, becoming Kygo's first number to so do and Selena Gomez's 7th.
